The Computing and Networking Group of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the University of Rochester is the group responsible for the managment and maintenance of the Computers and Network within SEAS.
Our phone numbers and office hours are below. You will find email addresses (and mailto-links) in our home pages (links below). But we are often busy, and out of our offices helping people and systems frequently. So it is best to email or call before stopping by, just to make sure we are in.
We recommend that you contact us via the web interface or direct email to problem@seas.rochester.edu with an initial inquiry or problem report. One staff member performs triage on problem mail several times a day (Mon-Fri), and either answers the mail directly, or hands the problem off to the most appropriate staff member. Mailing an urgent problem report to a staff member can be frustrating if that staff member is on a two-week vacation. Even if you stopped us in the hallway to ask a question, it's often a good idea to send the same query to problem, just to make sure it is in the queue. If you have an emergency (crashed system, etc.) it is better to call or page one of the staff. Otherwise, please use the email or web interface for reporting problems, asking questions, etc.
You can see the systems staff calendar for today, this week or this month on-line.
